He is always keen for a big stable. They make noise when 'Strangers' are around, so can do away with the dobermans eating his staff accidently. Talk about 'Ruakaka maiden win ' as a 'bit of a yarn', 39 years ago , almost to the day, I travelled (with another young teen lad ) in the back of one of those big 9-horse Takanini horse transporters up to the 'Shifty Red " sandy harness racing track at RUAKAKA, and he won his VERY FIRST race that day , in a Air NZ Junior drivers race. god knows where I finished.
