Fasig-Tipton-Winner-Logo.jpgLooking to go one better off a narrow runner-up effort when making the majority of the running in the GIII Florida Oaks at Tampa Mar. 6, 'TDN Rising Star' JOUSTER (f, 3, Noble Mission {GB}–Playtime, by Street Cry {Ire}) proved not for catching this time around and led throughout to take Saturday's GII Appalachian S. at Keeneland. Kicked straight into the lead by Luis Saez, the $360,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga acquisition raced by her lonesome through easy sections of :24.82 and an even more sedate half that was posted in :49.87. Racing with a clear margin back to her five rivals on the turn, she eased past the quarter pole well in front, was tenderly ridden into the final furlong and easily held sway late as the U.S. debuting Gift List (GB) (Bated Breath {GB}) and Plum Ali (First Samurai) gave vain chase. Jouster is now three-for-four on the turf, having aired in her grass debut at Gulfstream Jan. 10 and adding a facile allowance success ahead of her near-miss in Oldsmar last time. Sales history: $360,000 Ylg '19 FTSAUG. Lifetime Record: 6-3-2-0. O-Starlight Racing; B-St Elias Stables LLC (KY); T- Todd Pletcher.
