While the appearance of excitement machines like Shima Shine, Ferdinand Boy and Equalizer is sure to have greyhound fans pinned to the live action on The Watchdog app, a young tyro named Silver Lake is the greyhound creating the most buzz heading into the series. In February, at just his sixth start, Silver Lake broke Ballarat’s 450m track record in 24.686sec, and after running 2nd in a Semi-Final of the Launching Pad at Sandown Park last start trainer Graham James will have him primed for a big showing.
