Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted March 26, 2022 Journalists Share Posted March 26, 2022 The finish of the $5-million G1 Dubai Turf was a desperate three-way photo between the pacesetting PANTHALASSA (JPN) (Lord Kanaloa {Jpn}-Miss Pemberley {Ire}, by Montjeu {Ire}) and last year's winner LORD NORTH (IRE) (Dubawi {Ire}-Najoum, by Giant's Causeway) (Dubawi {Ire}) in between horses with Vin De Garde (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) closing like a freight train on the outside. However, after over 10 minutes of deliberation, the first pair could not be split and shared the spoils. It was the second win of the evening for Hiroo Race Co., Ltd. after their Bathrat Leon (Jpn) (Kizuna {Jpn}) won the Godolphin Mile. His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed's Lord North gave the father-son training duo of John and Thady Gosden their first Dubai World Cup night victory since formally joining forces. Vin De Garde was another nose back in third.
