Fasig-Tipton-Winner-Logo.jpgCYBERKNIFE (c, 3, Gun Runner–Awesome Flower, by Flower Alley) became his young sire's third Grade I winner as he scored a breakthrough victory in Saturday's Arkansas Derby. The 5-1 shot went for an early run up the fence, took over on the bend and braced for the challenge from favored filly Secret Oath (Arrogate). Cyberknife was still going strong and Secret Oath never could quite get to him, as the former finished up powerfully despite some drifting to cross the wire 3 1/2 lengths clear. Barber Road (Race Day) closed gamely despite traffic trouble to best the chalk for second and cap a productive day for his exported stallion. Cyberknife, last seen getting a confidence-building optional claiming win at Fair Grounds Feb. 19 after previously checking in sixth in the GIII Lecomte S., covered the nine panels in 1:50.42. Sales history: $400,000 ylg '20 FTKSEL. O-Gold Square LLC. B-Kenneth L. & Sarah K. Ramsey (KY). T-Brad H. Cox.
