barryb
Those who piled the sand on at Te Rapa have absolutely farked the track for the rail to be out. Leave the rail in the true position please, the wider you come at Te Rapa the worse it is.

hesi
Noticed this comment on Formpro Te Rapa I’ve been speaking to a few trainers recently who have had runners racing at Te Rapa, and most have said their runners have been effected by the sand coming back in their horses faces and putting them off doing their best. So the obvious place to be is in the lead or second outer. So I’ve concentrated on finding those runners who should get their own way in front and have the ability to hold on and win. barryb
Thats bullshit Hesi, did you see the sand at MV yesterday. More sand at MV than at Piha. Its all to do with the rail placement, the further out the rail at Te Rapa the tougher it is for backmarkers to make headway. With these extra Ellerslie meetings they are sticking the rail out a bloody mile and its making for tough racing for anything further back that than the first 4.
