hesi Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Noticed this comment on Formpro Te Rapa I’ve been speaking to a few trainers recently who have had runners racing at Te Rapa, and most have said their runners have been effected by the sand coming back in their horses faces and putting them off doing their best. So the obvious place to be is in the lead or second outer. So I’ve concentrated on finding those runners who should get their own way in front and have the ability to hold on and win. Quote
barryb Posted August 4, 2018 Author Posted August 4, 2018 Thats bullshit Hesi, did you see the sand at MV yesterday. More sand at MV than at Piha. Its all to do with the rail placement, the further out the rail at Te Rapa the tougher it is for backmarkers to make headway. With these extra Ellerslie meetings they are sticking the rail out a bloody mile and its making for tough racing for anything further back that than the first 4. 1 Quote
