Ready To Run Sales?

Newmarket

Recommended Posts

Does Michael House still run his own ready to run sales? Not heard about them recently.

It put his name out there, and good on him for getting involved, but surely the results over previous years have been below par-

Think Highview Thommy the exception, maybe even Franco Nelson was from sales too, but not too many to mention.

Can remember House talking up Glenalvon, went half in 55, sold for $195k, won $31k.

Are these sales bad for buyers, get them up quickly to run fast halves, burnt out by the time they race?

Michael had a lot if success and never got them screwed down and often they earned more than the sales price. Fiery falcon and born again Christian two who come to mind without any research. High view tommy was a standout purchased by Hazel who saw the horse every day and fell in love with him.

michael did one attempt at Aussie ready to run but the next year had his own sale that was very poor.  One I videoed for him had his first start today

placed.

Enteebee,

Those horses you mentioned was quite a while ago, it seems no real stars in the last 10 years? I just wonder if these type of sales are no longer attractive.

like I said - no research - Lanercost was a star in Australia in more recent times - they havent been held for 3 years - think NZB are going to bring them back so I would say there will be a market for them
