Woodham who? This is where you say thanks to Mark Purdon for helping secure a quarter of a million for a group of more than 4,500 people who threw some hard earned into a kitty and hoped to have some fun.

Fair enough great to see the NZ TAB taking bets and allowing  punters to win!!

PITY THOUGH that the NZ TAB are selective in who they are prepared to accept $ from!!!!!

From where I sit Counter Punch there is a helluva lot of favouritism to some and victimisation to others!!

How on earth is this ACCEPTABLE in this day and age of everyone being treated EQUALLY??

An interesting point Brodie.

You could look at it that way for sure. And I completely understand the frustration of individuals who are being restricted.

BUT, I will say. A $12,500 bet between 4,500 people equates to just over $2 per share.

A $27,500 bet equates to 4,500 people placing $6 a place on a horse.

You know what. It sucks that people aren't getting what they want. But the other side of the coin this week was a whole new group of people were introduced to what it's like to cheer one home in harness racing - many of who who invested themselves too for the first time.

CP, the fact is that if 4500 people kept putting $6 for a place on a horse individually the TAB Bookies would slash the price so it wasnt worth having a crack after not too many bets!

The issue for Brodie, and always has been, is that the TAB is our only legal betting facility to bet on harness racing!

They put the odds up and entice punters to wager on them!

They then somehow are allowed to decide who they accept money from and who they wont take money from!!!

They allow me on for pathetically small amounts and yet BGP are allowed to offload as much as they want!

I am glad that BGP have cleaned the Bookies up so far this week and hope they continue to do this.

Yes I think Boys Get Paid is a great initiative and the ones that run it put a lot of effort in to it!

I do not bother much at all nowadays as just not worth the effort.

Realised  that there is more to life than being treated as a crim/leper by the NZ TAB!

Hope things are going well for you, keep up the good work.
