I thought for sure this dog would have at least been subject to a vet check today after its performance

Having raced last Thursday running third, then today backed into favouritism and jumping to the lead before looking to go amiss at the first bend it was not even checked over by the vet despite looking injured.

It is due to run again on Thurday, in a distance race, I'd be very surprised if it lined up, and if it does, it's performance will be even more interesting to see.

To my eye it certainly looked to be carrying an injury today.

And today the dog was tailed off the entire race, and struggled to keep up.

The dog was clearly carrying an injury from its run 48 hours earlier, and the fact it wasn't subject to a vet check AGAIN today despite looking very sore is abysmal from the stipes.

So much for animal welfare, anyone with half a brain could see something was amiss with the dog.

Have you considered mental issues?, which would not make it a welfare problem.

No comment on today's run from me.

What I will comment on is Chch's 645 starting box being unfair. Obviously, the lid for the inside dogs is opening faster than it is for the outside dogs.

It's time for the CGRC to weld a bit of reinforcement to the lid to keep it from flexing & put a bit of white paint on the repairs after it's been strengthened to make it look pretty again.
