Weasel
I can understand a commentator/presenter getting mixed up occasionally eso with new horses or difficult names but.. here's the thing SAVASON Three syllables. SAV A SON ... The horse is a son of SAVABEEL (duh Is SAVABEEL'name ever pronounced as anything other than SAV (as in Hav, gav and pav) A - BEEL (rhymes with meal, feel and wheel) ??? No. Both the caller and presenter today called this SON of SAVABEEL ....SAVER-SON and SAH- VA -SON Come on lads its not rocket science (at last, not in this case!) Rant (rhymes with pant) over. curious
Always thought it was Sah- va beel. Never heard otherwise. Definitely never heard sav as in saveloy.

barryb
Actually I have an idea, pronunciation could be one of Tommy's winning strategies. Mardi can you please do research on anything that is even remotely pronounced incorrectly and see what its winning % is please. Please pay particular notice to anything in blinkers or 3yr olds after xmas.

I'm sure he will have worked it all out and have loads of winners for us tomorrow.
Thomass
Always love the pronunciation police... ...Theres so much going on in their lives they'll want to change Slimon Bwidges next! Always enjoyed a good speech impediment though Kenny Calender's "Shunshine Shelly at shixty shix to 1"always made moi piss me pants... ...and George trying to manage...
