Phenomenal Trainer….

….Jason Grimson.

The five-year-old made it five wins from just six starts for training phenomenon Jason Grimson when he won by a huge space and smashed the clock.

Betterzippit worked to the front and sailed away to win by 13.7m in a 1min48.6sec mile – that’s 0.2sec faster than Catch A Wave went to win last month’s Miracle Mile.

Lifetime NZ

28 starts 5wins 3seconds 3thirds

AND Not just Betterzippit mate.

Grimson has won the last 2 Interdominion pacing Grand Finals (with Victoria cast -offs BoncelB and CastNoShadow) to sit amongst the Very Best there is as an Interdominion winning Trainer . and not even 30 years old yet.

and not far off Winning in Nz either with another 're-cycled ' Victorian Majestic Cruiser . running 2nd Nz Cup and in last years Grins The Race.   Took the very best in Nz to hold him out in Copy That and Self Assured.

JG Has to be near the best 'Improver of Horses ' that Oz and Nz has ever seen ??

Just phenomenal.

pretty amazing what he is able to do . Marky P even had many years apprenticeship before becoming the best .

This bloke straight to the top out of the gate ....

Former Kiwi pacer Betterzippit upstaged some of Australia’s best pacers to win the inaugural $1mil Nullarbor at Gloucester Park last night.   "GOOD GRIEF"

But the stories of the race were the continued remarkable rise of young trainer Jason Grimson and the mystifying drive on beaten favourite Magnificent Storm. "BLOODY HELL"

Grimson surprised many by targeting the Nullarbor with Betterzippit, who had five of his first six Aussie starts for the Menangle trainer, but was yet to be proven at the top level.  "OMG"

“When I heard the NZ race (Race by Grins) and Nullarbor were on the same night, I was originally going to go back to NZ and try and go one better than I did with Majestic Cruiser last year,” Grimson said.  "SMART DECISION"

“But this horse, Betterzippit, came along and he just seemed so well suited to the (tight) track and the type of race in Perth, so I went this way instead. "WHATTA WAY TO GO "

“He’s a really serious horse and I thought all along he’d be very hard to beat. You haven’t seen the best of him yet.” "EXTREMELY HARD TO BEAT"

Much of the credit for last night’s win goes to driver Cam Hart, who bedazzled his rivals with a lightning early move around the field to take the lead. "BEST DRIVER GOING ROUND NOW, so No surprise there anyway 😂"

What are these fellas doing Gamma?

We need you to get a job there and find out and get us some. I’ll get busy & send a couple over to you to clean up the Queensland Carnival, easy!

Haha yeah the kiwi's were excellent 2 years ago with Amazing Dream winning the 2 feature Group 1's and American Dealer the Derby, at our Constellation Carnival in July. (the only month worth watching the local stuff really)

But last year It was your mate Grimson Winning the 'Black's A Fake' Qld championship here with Majestic Cruiser  , so he's not shy at Winning All Over The Show that bloke. ... even crossing the Nullarbor now to WA . 😄💰
