hesi
He has a pretty good chance of taking out an Oaks this afternoon, but it must be a long time since he rode in Aus?? Is that a negative towards Savvy Coup's chances
The Crucible
Didn't he ride that handy Richards sprinter (name escapes me) to win in Melbourne a few years back? Not as big a negative as four weeks between runs (in my opinion). Bonneval did the double last year but they were only three weeks apart. Jape2
I thought CWJ gave the filly every possible chance but she just couldn't finish the race off as she had in the NZ Oaks. The Crucible's point re the gap between traces may well be correct. Bowman's choice of Unforgotten was spot on. Did anyone punt on the winner on that basis?
Turny
Great ride put Cavvy in the race just not there last 250 but given a superb run
Richie
Savvy has been upawhile and I believe that race was just an add on because of the fact she had been going so well. They had to go as her broodmare value if she happened to win would have been enormous
Newmarket
He rode it well, pity she didn’t zoom home and win, what a great story that would have been.
