I see Des  passed away aged 96

A good reliable rider who could understand instructions. the boy from the Brynderwyns rode my first winner , it was a while ago.

Des Wyatt,an 'Old School' Gentleman.Had the pleasure of attending many Race Meeting with him.At Randwick 1977 SIr Silver Lad and Matamata 1978 winning his final ride.

Hi There,

 

i am Des's Grandson Brett.

We have just recently obtained audio from his ride on Fox Myth to win the wellington cup in 1956

Poppa was a true gentleman of the Sport. I couldn't think of a better Role Model in my life.

He has left a huge whole in our family.

So nice to read all the comments about his Career.
