i was listening recently to brad steele interviewed on the alumni racing show. I think the interview was dated about 3 months ago. what struck me was mr steele seemed to genuinely believe what he says. I.e.That harness racing in nz has so many positives happening and things are shaping up well for the future. I had thought he was just someone who always talked positive,irrespective of the realities of whether that was the case or not. so the answer to why he always paints a picture was staring us in the face. personally I didn't recognise it, because i thought it is such an unrealistic outlook for anyone to have. but hey,how about that . -
They may well be flush with Entain cash at the moment but I can guarantee that anyone with any business acumen can clearly see the writing on the wall! They are clearly blowing the opportunity that the Entain money provided but there has been so many poor decisions being made unfortunately. Would any Bank have lent Harness Racing any money with their business plan to keep harness racing going? Not on your nally, and Entain are only in it to take the profits of the online gambling and Sports betting for a total of 25 years! -

And to be clear - I do note that the article is attributed to one Joshua Smith from the Loveracing NZ News Desk. Not the first (or last) :journo to play fast 'n' loose with the facts. Now my fellow BOAYarners - I'm not personally acquainted with Joshua - but whatever's going on here - & whoever has decided on the content & the title for the article which headlines the syndicator so prominently (albeit, inaccurately) - I can confirm there is no truth in the rumor that "Joshua Smith" is a writer's pseudonym for Karen F-E. J. -
Has been going poorly for a long time! Hasnt shown much staying prowess and if it wins the way it has been going, you would be needing to ask some serious questions!

Very good point. It is actually Walker and Bergeson who won the premiership, and they train for others as well as Te Akau don't they?. Isn't Fortuna a separate operation? And I'm sure I've seen them train other horses that Te Akau aren't involved in.
