    • yes i guess he will come and maybe kingman won't. Who knows . Thats not to say kingman can't win if he came,he could beat leap to fame with a good draw and quick beginning, but how would any punter know whether kingman even begins ok. That would all be a guess. The TAB was accepting bets on kingman last week and now, like you say, people who bet on him may well have  wasted their money and anyone betting against leap to fame may have done so  believing he wouldn't come. And then you factor in the really poor odds on offer for all the horses in the market.

Live images from both thoroughbred and trotting races held at 15 Italian racecourses, including top racecourses like Roma, Pisa, Merano, Napoli and Siracusa, will be available on the feed, along with an integrated, comprehensive data stream for betting products. The betting pools will be commingled worldwide. The current Italian thoroughbred racing season is centered around Rome's Capannelle racetrack, which will stage its two main fixtures on Sunday, October 26 (featuring five Listed stakes) and Sunday, November 2 on Roma Champions Day with four Group races, including the G2 Lydia Tesio for fillies and mares aged three and up over 2,000 meters with a purse of 264,000 euros. October 26 will also be opening day of the winter-spring meeting at the Pisa San Rossore, a racecourse nestled within a nature park that played a key role in launching the legend of Ribot. Ippodromo Mediterraneo in Siracusa, Sicily, which hosted last year's World Agricultural G7 meeting, will run a winter meeting. In December, the city of Napoli will launch its winter Thoroughbred meeting in the Ippodomo Agnano, set in the very picturesque valley where the ancient Romans constructed a large, multi-level thermal complex on the slopes of Mt. Spina. MST supplies its betting platforms to a network of 2,000 retail outlets and 30 websites. “The U.S. horse racing betting market is definitely the leader in the world,” said Giuseppe Tarricone, the CEO of MST. “At MST, we always looked with extreme interest to the U.S. market and now we are very proud and very excited that we can offer to U.S. horse racing betting fans our races from the top Italian racetracks. Thanks to the very professional and dedicated work of the Italian Ministry of Agriculture Directors Patrizio La Pietra and Remo Chiodi, appointed by the new Italian Government, horse racing in Italy is enjoying a new Renaissance.” Tarricone pointed out that prominent American owner Mike Repole had recently sent four horses to Italy, including a Dubawi filly purchased at Arqana. “Purses are paid regularly and much faster and in 2026 will increase by 8-10 million euros,” he said. “The doping control is very strict and the races are competitive and appealing to the point that the betting has increased steadily in the past three months. With our agreement with Xpressbet, we'll be able to offer to the American horse racing fans the opportunity to wake up in the morning and with breakfast enjoy a few bets in the historical racetrack where Federico Tesio, Nearco and Ribot created the history of thoroughbred racing.” The post American Gains Access to Betting on Italian Racing appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions. • The Arqana October Yearling Sale concluded with Part 3 on Saturday when another 184 lots went under the hammer, including a Texas colt who achieved the day's top price when knocked down to KGS for €63,000. Consigned by Haras de Bourgeauville, lot 768 is from the family of Group/Grade 1 winners Adayar, Ave and National Defense. Of the 184 yearlings offered, 155 sold (84%) for a total of €1,649,500. The average was €10,642 and the median was €8,000. Over the five days of the October Yearling Sale, 600 of the 763 lots offered changed hands at a clearance rate of 79%, which represented a 4% decrease on last year's edition. The average decreased by 12% to €42,333, while total turnover dropped by 10% to €26,421,000. “The results of this October Sale, although showing a decline, demonstrate the true resilience of the yearling market in an environment that is less buoyant than last year,” read a statement issued by Arqana on behalf of president Olivier Delloye and CEO Freddy Powell. “The total turnover once again exceeded €26 million, the level reached two years ago; while the average of €42,333 and the median of €23,000, although down on 2024, remained at levels very comparable to previous years. “Major players from the August Sale were once again present in October: Sumbe, Coolmore, Al Shira'aa Racing and Godolphin secured the four top prices during the first part of the sale. France, Spain, Germany, Australia, Ireland, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia also featured prominently among the buyers. “Nevertheless, the market proved to be highly selective: the drop in the percentage of horses sold, below 80% for the first time since 2020, illustrates this and invites us to question the size of the October Sale's offering, given that the most dynamic sales in Europe this year are those that have significantly reduced their catalogues. “Over the entire yearling sales season – August, v.2 and October combined – the auction volume exceeded €90 million this year, nearly €5 million more than last year's record.” The post Texas Colt Leads the Way as Curtain Comes Down on Arqana October appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
