I try to refrain from referring to the "other site" however on this topic I feel I need to. I note that one of the above posts has been copied and posted over there. Well and good so far the internet is a free speaking place!
However I do take exception to the continue baiting of posters here by a few "over there."
For the record I have followed this thread closely because it always has had the danger of falling into a slanging match and crossing the standards we set for ourselves. Yes there have been some strong views posted but overall the debate has been educated and robust. I would go so far it has been a learning experience for most. Certainly until this thread I had never happened across the ACS treatment and have done some background reading on the theory behind it and feel somewhat more enlightened. If I owned a horse that had soundness issues and that horse was talented I would certainly try it as it appears to have some therapeutic value.
Is it performance enhancing? Is it ethical? Is it a good look to be regularly taking 400ml's of blood from a horse and re-injecting it while a horse is in full training? All questions that the industry needs to discuss and debate.
I don't want to sound patronising but congrats to ALL posters on this topic. Conspiracy theories abound whether we discuss them online or not. Surely debating them in the manner we have is a healthy option.
