Why ban trainers from betting? If you start banning them and any other participant that has a connection then you further reduce liquidity in the pools.

SOME cricketers yes (how many is it in a game where many many billions are bet?). But how many cases taken to court in New Zealand under the new law? Test Case for the RIU because previously they would have gone through the JCA process. I'd say there will be a posse of lawyers lining up on both sides to test this law. They all like a chance to get their name in lights and in precedents.

Well look how hard it is to prove match fixing in Cricket. If they are found innocent no doubt there will be enough for some to continue to say they were guilty. It is obvious that the RIU are test casing this. I wish they would get on with some of the easier tasks that they seem to fail with across all codes.

Freda is correct. It is very unlikely that she would be allowed to gallop her team on a new track regularly. Even a Strahayr track couldn't sustain continual high use. They, like any track, have a limited life span before requiring renovation. Does anyone see any club being able to make enough income to maintain and eventually renovate a Strathayr? Let alone maintain and renovate all the other infrastructure required to run a modern racing complex?
