Didn’t hear that re satellite stable. What I did however observe was a huge purchase numbers wise, in weanling and yearlings last year and this year (which I pointed out). Backed on by an already not bad stable. Guerin was the 1st to publically point it out stating he believed in a few years Telfers could become the top leading stable. Karrots soon after backed that up. Now Knight has come out also highlighting the huge training team & so on. We have the Williams saga unfolding & also remember Nats fav catch phrase is “I’m not here to make friends”. The Northern drivers understand that, and make them work for it when they venture North. Remember how they posted Williams (All Stars) out 3 wide on Aladdin who then only placed. Of note there was only 1 horse that handed up to Nat willing on Jewels day and that horse had a Southern driver race 9. Even D Ferg (holding his ground) & young Jnr A Drake (holding lead) were giving it to them. There were NO Cullen Trifectas as a result. They (Cullen/A Team) won’t be getting it their own way, when Team Telfer really come to town. Wonder which team have the best horses next year as 2 y-os … ? Check out the story on HRNZ if you have not yet read it.

Why is no-one talking about this. No one read the article on HRNZ ... Mentioned it on the Nom fav drive 2021 thread, re a rivalry & its only going to heat up Cant wait til its read HOT. Well grab your popcorn folks, tickets are on sale now, movie release date April 2022, early bird ticket price $10. Synopsis: After dominating the Harness scene for a decade the Southern pair that put glamour into the sport, handed the baton over in a surprise move that shocked the industry. However along with glamour came distain. The North have been the 1st to act mobilising a team & preparing for battle to place the South under seize. Following a shock resignation from the A Team, Team Telfer were quick to act, requesting the services of this gentleman to take their side on the battlefield. After a recent on-field field position tussle between Team A & Team Telfor the battle grounds have been laid down. Who will come out victor? Will the A Team hold onto its power & glamour or has the North in Team Telfor mobilised too much quietly in the background, and is it too late? Starring - N Rass, M.P Cullen, Telfors, Butchers with special guest T Williams Name of movie Team Telfer verse Team Cullen (A Team)

Noms have closed. If they judge could please select via skill. If the judge Fitzy does not make a selection Gamms you can be the next judge as you used to drive. Perhaps give it a couple of days Gamms. Judging to be done based on skill. Not on bias or your favourites. No extra points given if it is a Group 1 race over a normal race. And judging to be made on that drive only, not on reputation or last name or anything. Also when judging please bear in mind the ability of the horse. Was it a good drive that made the horse win or was it the horse? Or had it not been for that drive then the horse would not of won. (Perhaps if you back up why you chose the winner over the others). Also any country driver can win. PS Paleface your funny, I was meaning the way, you guys talk lol on that other thread F this & F that. Thanks for putting a nom in here btw.
-
Oh my you guys are tots over-reacting to this bum pinching stuff. What about the swingers ... Just thought Id bring them up before Mikey NZ starts to watch Coro Street. Nah, none of it bothers me too much after living in LA. You guys need to get out more. But I do have a happy ever after story to announce, but not quite yet hehe. Maybe in a few days time … Yes Paleface Aussies are def hotter than Kiwis until they open their mouths that is.
-
Hehe fart yes that would of been a goodie reaction. Think she was just flattered being hit on by the younger blokes and some attention. The mood I was in at the time, prob might of slapped them lol had it happened to me. But it comes with a story. Which I won't share. So yeah it was funny 😀
-
Ill let you, JJ and Ludwig post on here. Doesn't look like Hunts or Ranga are coming back. And not many others are posting. Post something trying to be funny as the sites quiet and not long left to post 2.5 weeks and get criticised. No one other than Gammas and Paleface joined in on the nom your fav drive 2021. And unlikely Fitzgerald will be the judge probably won't reply and we only had a small amount of people enter in our $10 Karrots Jewels comp. Then of course the disappointment that had at Jewels day, after the exciting 2 month wait for it, (which seems Im not allowed to have said by people from the other site including you). It does make 1 lose enthusiasm after all the efforts. Happy posting 😀

You Mikey NZ are usually this sites funny man, so its kind of weird you are being all uptight about this. Would be fine for you to say something like this, tho wouldn’t it, but me no not allowed to show any humour. Which does seem hypocritical. Its NOT a dig, its meant to be humour. Hence said WE ALL THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY INCLUDING MY FRIEND. Remember you can't see the tone of the message and Im smiling as I typed it thinking back to the next day we were laughing about it.
-
What are you talking about? This was meant to be a bit of fun. Light heartedness. Its the first time its been brought up. Not sure why you are making it weird. Do you think that young blokes don't bum pinch when they are out clubbing or at pubs? Come on MikeyNZ you must be living in fantasy land. Your opinion on Sugar Apple being outclassed was a fair call on the other site. But this, not sure why you are saying the above is pathetic. And not sure if you are referring to me being under the influence, no. Not at all. PS I actually thought Big Bang might join in on the humour but no get this weird response from you instead, just saying.
-
Big Bang, meant to ask you, but in my rage (which Im over now) forgot. Did you run into the bum pinchers at the Club House? A group of mid 20’s racegoers full of booze & testosterone. Had a friend that they got, but she said, it didn’t bug her, it was just the 2 finger pinch hurt & gave her bruises the next day lol. We all including her thought it was very funny the next day & something at least to laugh about.
-
Actually JJ have a bone to pick with you, why did you make up a fabricated story that I owned Sugar Apple on the other site? Its very hypocritical considering you also say on there, that this site is notorious for fabricated info. And as a result of such fabrication, no I will not be enjoying reading that site anymore.

Here is the latest update on this, not sure Chief if you put in a submission. Anyway less than 3 weeks left of posting, then will have to be be Off and Gone like Ranga and Hunts. Come in Ranga you are MIA, we have til 30 June. Recently the harness racing Code of Conduct was distributed for industry feedback. Thank you to the people who responded. As a result, the code is to be rewritten in plain English with less emphasis on legal terminology and with reference to the appropriate rules. The new draft will then go back out for consultation.

The domestic turnover of the IRT Harness Jewels at Cambridge this year of $2,728,280, eclipsed all other Harness Jewels, sneaking ahead of the previous best set at Cambridge in 2008. Ranga you are MIA, come in Ranga. Look turnover has come in as number 1 ever for Jewels and also looks on target to hit that 5 mill target combined goal we set 😃

Nah Davis there is a thread here started by Cross Codes on 28 May titled Telfor/Butcher team driving. I was the 1st to like his original post. Others liked it too including yourself. So no, other team driving IS called out, not just Team Cullen/AS
-
There is def a rivalry there, isn’t there. This is just the beginning. It will only heat up as time goes on. Its going to be good when it really gets HOT. Watch this space. Team Telfers verse Team Cullen/All Stars

Enteebee you are slipping, what about your main man B Williamson on Majestic M. How brilliant was his drive in Cambridge flying mile. Then went to Aus in G1 trotting Grand Prix Melton Feb, drawn 10, took run thru to secure 1-1, then BEFORE 1 of his main rivals could get ahead of him, HE pulls out infront of it, as it launches a move. BUT too late MM and Williamson stay ahead of them and move onto the lead and continue on to take the well deserved win. * S Wigg - Last Amateur Champ Drive Race * Z Butcher - Art Nouveau Alex Park * K Barclay - Watch Me Now Breeders Stakes * B Hope - Muscle Mountain FFA Trot * N Rass - South Coast Arden Jewels * B Butcher - BD Joe Jewels * T Herlihy - Double Delight Jewels * J Dunn - Need You Now Jewels * G E Hall Jnr - Beachstart NZ 25 May Gloucester Park * D Dunn - Captain Barbossa Meadowlands USA * B Williamson - Majestic Man Grand Prix Trot Melton Feb

What a fantastic idea Gamms. And to sweeten him up he looked the part on Jewels day was rocking a cool outfit actually that is what I thought. The BGP area had some hip funky chairs furniture in it, which was a positive. They seemed a bit more low key than what I had seen them on a video last time at Camb Jewels. Well if Fitzgerald is up for the challenge to pick be cool 😄 Noms close Sunday.
-
YES will add D. Dunn. Wow he is low flying there. Whats the song, (how long can you go - in my zone by C Brown) "how long can you go, how low can you go, how low can you go, how long can you go". Twerk it Gamms, twerk it 🕺🕺🕺 https://youtu.be/j0zw4c8fuWU * S Wigg - Last Amateur Champ Drive Race * Z Butcher - Art Nouveau Alex Park * K Barclay - Watch Me Now Breeders Stakes * B Hope - Muscle Mountain FFA Trot * N Rass - South Coast Arden Jewels * B Butcher - BD Joe Jewels * T Herlihy - Double Delight Jewels * J Dunn - Need You Now Jewels * G E Hall Jnr - Beachstart NZ 25 May Gloucester Park * D Dunn - Captain Barbossa Meadowlands USA

Excellent selection there Paleface. Was never any criteria re had to be in NZ. What a crack up the commentator moments AFTER the post “oh Beach Start” after calling the other horses. Gosh how will we decide who the winner is with ALL these fantastic noms ... * S Wigg - Last Amateur Champ Drive Race * Z Butcher - Art Nouveau Alex Park * K Barclay - Watch Me Now Breeders Stakes * B Hope - Muscle Mountain FFA Trot * N Rass - South Coast Arden Jewels * B Butcher - BD Joe Jewels * T Herlihy - Double Delight Jewels * J Dunn - Need You Now Jewels * G E Hall Jnr - Beachstart NZ 25 May Gloucester Park

Great nom and yes great win. Im also going to nom J Dunn on Need You Now. Really wanted that horse to win. Was rooting for it. (Watched replay and was funny how the Butcher boys made Nat work AROUND them hehe - another poster also mentioned that too) driving against her, cause that was she does against her main opposition. If you are gunna dish it, you have to be prepared to eat it too sometimes 😋🍗 Was watching on as the strides started to shorten in straight & the others started to catchup quickly, but he had put enough distance on them turning in, that they as a team, held on for the horse to take victory and Need You Nows first GROUP 1 glory. Yeehaa. (Thats what I like about Cambridge miles) gives the others a chance. Loved the aggressive driving ALL day. JD's rocking back & forward cracked me up a bit in a good way, but whatever it takes to get the horse over the line first without over whipping. On that note there was ZERO whipping fines, suspensions or warnings re whipping, so WELL DONE to ALL drivers for that infront of the big crowd and TV audience. These days image is important regardless if you are for or against it. * S Wigg - Last Amateur Champ Drive Race * Z Butcher - Art Nouveau Alex Park * K Barclay - Watch Me Now Breeders Stakes * B Hope - Muscle Mountain FFA Trot * N Rass - South Coast Arden Jewels * B Butcher - BD Joe Jewels * T Herlihy - Double Delight Jewels * J Dunn - Need You Now Jewels

This is interesting reading back. What another great drive by her, so will have to nom her. And also B Butcher for his usual great front rating drive at Cambridge track on BD Joe. * S Wigg - Last Amateur Champ Drive Race * Z Butcher - Art Nouveau Alex Park * K Barclay - Watch Me Now Breeders Stakes * B Hope - Muscle Mountain FFA Trot * N Rass - South Coast Arden Jewels * B Butcher - BD Joe Jewels Noms close end of this week.

Time for some good news 😄 So looks like maybe on target for that 5 million goal target including Aus betting 😃 So can still say Eat It regarding that hehe. Turnover for the IRT Harness Jewels at Cambridge Raceway was $2.65m, not including figures from Australia. It was made up of $1.1m off course, $1.3m through fixed odds betting, and $167,000 on-course. Total turnover was the third highest of the season behind NZ Cup day and Show Day.

Correction meant House re Winter Cup, not Easter Cup, also many trainers whether they are hobby, smaller trainers or larger they, enter horses sometimes in races e.g. Jnr drive or amateurs or other races to make up the fields. So for ALL of them if they qualified for the Jewels so be it, they are in. Regarding that 2 y-o race, it wasn't just 1 horse Sugar Apple that was "outclassed" it was the whole lot of them. Whipped by 10 lengths. Forgot to mention a couple I meet that said for me to give back feedback on their behalf, so here goes, they drove down from Auks & were potentially interested in horse ownership. Think they were a members friends. They only stayed 4 races then left. It was their first time at Camb races & no doubt the last. They made a joke when they got their provided lunch (which was good tasty 😄) saying "lets take a pic of our table we are at and post it to Facebook" all while looking down at the floor the invisible table. I know someone that had saved to attend as on a super tight budget and thought would be at a table only not to be. On the other side of the spectrum also know their were 3 multi-millionaires that also did not get a table and thought they had 1 booked, they ended up sitting down on a window ledge for most of the day, CLASSY AS STUFF FOR THEM. NOT! 1 of them said to me that they are a member of Ellerslie races gallops and said "they would not have come down from Auckland had they known this was the situation". They then said "typical b....dy harness. Ok no more negative talk. Moving on.

Read an article on the Oz site that it has been confirmed that it is NOT going to be held in Winter again. And that they have not yet decided if it will run again. That is up in the air.

Sites gone quiet, was thinking about its now the countdown til Ill be gone, not long now. Looks like Hunts and Ranga have tapped out early. Noticeably missing. Was thinking today about a lil old man, that didn’t have a table/seat his group didn’t (obviously they had arrived expecting one) and they were cornered up by stairs that lead out to grandstand. Eventually they must of found a seat & put it by the stairs for him, nowhere else for them to put it, (as the poor old sole was having trouble standing). In hindsight wish I had of spoken to him, or at least smiled at him as I walked past. There was also 1 other person that hit my mind today, a lady who was celebrating her birthday & their group prob about 10 of them, they had thought they had a table booked but didn’t. There are others I know of that also missed out that thought they had a table booked. Also equally disappointed. Anyways moving on. On another note, Sugar Apple (who is not my horse lol Davis I think you have started something) earned his start fair and square by the rules of the race. Noticed no-one complained when Green threw in American Dealer in the lead up race, so that race got off the ground for other participants. Also same thing re House threw in a horse for Easter Cup to make sure it got off the ground, no complaining then. It is about give and take. Not just take, take take and when it suits. PS on a positive note 😄 there was great hip fun music playing outside out by the food truck area. Food truck area looked good 😄
