  7. What's with some of these guys?I've seen more farewells here than the VonTrapp kids!! Auf Wiedersehen Pet
  8. Well, the only thing I got right on day 2 was the weather and track!? Which makes me ask the question! Are clerks of the course/track managers all from the same mould around the world? Is down grading your track taboo? Today after over night rain the c o t c fails to give the punting public the true track conditions before race 1, and with the heavy down pours and jockeys comments he finally changes the state of the track after R4 ?.Just say it as it is f###wits!!The rest of the week looks good weather wise, but it's going to take a couple of days to dry out!As I have been saying all week,do your homework as the goalposts have moved . Hopefully we can find a winner in the next 3 days.
  9. No chance Thomo, that's one tough cookie!!?
  10. Day 2 and the stick is sinking a little further in today.Straight course just on the soft side and soft all over the round course.50/50 whether they get thunderstorms this afternoon,if so the ducks will be out on Swindley Bottom!! It looks more of a each way day on paper with Favs at £6 R1 Paying 4 places- 16-26-13-9 roughie 11 R2 10-6-13 R3 7-8-6 R4 1-17-7 R5 paying 5 places- 9-14-10-2 R6 18-6-4 Looks a tough day, so only 1 caught my eye for sole investment Kimari in R1 No ante - post running today Best of luck
  11. That Zoe is some Bird!!
  12. This fella looked outstanding in the paddock today Thomo. What a great looker and very professional in his attitude!Get on for the 3yr old classics.
  13. Right, the show is about to get on the road! R1 2-9-1 R2 1-4-12 R3 2-1-5 R4 10-4-5 R5 1-8-14 R6 5-2-11 Ante posts for day 1 Blue Point and The Grand Visir
  14. Cheers MK2
  15. With Day1 fast approaching,I'm thinking it is my duty to give you BOAYers as much info as possible for one of racing's best 5 consecutive days of racing. So I thought a reconasence mission is needed!!I head due north-west for 25mins(as the crow flys)arrive at "Askit"yes Askit as only those of us from Surrey and Berkshire are aloud to pronounce it like that!!For all you other ferals its Ascot?. Under the cover of darkness and lead only by the "moon"? with pentrometer in hand?I proceed to the straight course and penatrate from rail to rail(just for you Thomo).Horses coming up the middle to stand side will have the slight advantage and better going. Track will be riding Good(on the easy side of good)on the Straight track and Good to Soft on the round course(soft around Swinley Bottom) Track is going to be tricky all week with heavy rain due on Tuesday night and Wednesday so do your homework people. Mooncoin out
  16. Any news on the balance sheet T ?Maybe Jason could update! Cheers
  17. Gets up at 37/1 today
  18. Turny,a legitimate question here! What has been the strike rate for the punters club over the years?
  19. I think the 2 yr old filly Funstar was Adelaide's first winner.I know it was only mid-week race but i thought she showed a good attitude!Maybe one for over a bit more ground or even Oaks races as a 3yr old.
  20. "Spend and spin".She was a Blairite was she not?
  21. Connections and Chris Hayes (top lad)had reported that the mile and a half was what they were working towards all along and were super confident with his racing style he would stay! After The Derby,Chris said the horse travelled well but at the road crossing got himself lite up!Chris was hoping to sit for another 1/ 2 or 1 furlong before hitting the button. The disappointment on his face(what might have been)said it all.
  22. Great pic Thomo! Northern Hemisphere going ok? Southern Hemisphere under the pump!!But Kenedna has helped balance the books in Queensland? Roll on Royal Ascot
  23. I thought I would put in my ten cents worth(and not after race)on The Derby today. Cracking day today, hardly any rain the last 7 days though they have watered (mainly Tattenham Corner in the evenings)but does have a good sole of grass. With this in mind, this is how I see it! It is one of the most even Derbys for a while.Ballydoyle have 7 of the field! The fav was outstanding at Chester, but my negatives are his inexperience and the dry ground. So I'm keeping it in the pocket and running with my Anti -posts Bangkok(25 )and Madhmoon(20) and will be having a little saver on Dick Van Dyke .He handled Lingfield well last start. Cheers
  24. Going rough today Wally!! Sunshine Coast: R4 #7 $34/1 A Jenks first starter that won a trial on a heavy track and 3rd horse has won since(All be it at Rocky)
  25. Keen early (with jockey "taking a pull") Put to sleep on rail mid race On leaders heels turning for home Gap opens on fence, refuses to take it Compounded straight. Stipes Report:Vets swab has reported a high level of pastry in J A system. Trainer has advised that the horse would be turned out for a long spell.
