    As teenagers back in the early 70's it was a right of passage for us doing the Coast circuit! Sleeping in the grand stands... living off beer and racecourse pies! ?

    Yet again a gutless approach being taken by those in charge! Par for the course for this lot! ps. any truth that a key feature will be the introduction of a new cooperate logo, which I believe is a version of this classic!!! ??????

    Was the report written to be presented to the Minister AND the Industry as well?

    If this event is so important then why is it not being broadcasted live? ? Which surely would have been easily done if it was present just down the road where the trots are being held! Will the event be recorded for broadcast at a later date? If not why not?

    I lock a big % of my bets on gallops by how well I think a horse looks in the birdcage but more so on how it goes down in it's preliminary!! Todays effort at Matamata the camera angle is TOTALLY PATHEIC!!!!!!!! All we get to see is the arse end of the horse disappearing into the distance! Whoever is in charge of directing and the placing of cameras needs to be sacked! Any idea who this person might be???

    100% in agreement with lowering the betting take outs, only a mug would be betting into pools that have a 25% tax! And to think that many others have more than 30% At least when Ned Kelly robbed you he had a gun pointing at you!!! Sadly you are 100% correct regarding the boat having sailed! the number of us mugs just gets smaller and smaller!
