I'm surprised the head stipendiary steward on this day Mike Austin let this happen. The dog walked off the track. Although it was limping was it necessary to be euthanized?? I admire this vet for her thorough checks but I'm shocked at euthanasia in this case? Who's call was this when the vet is always happy to scratch for cough, small cuts or muscle soreness? Report says it was a laceration. I saw a broken toe.....

Not so long ago everyone was whingeing that their dog's had to be in the kennels for too long! Now you want more kennels to have the dogs in there longer?

I totally understand what you are saying but at the end of the day the rules have been bent by so many people that the stipes and riu have put themselves in a position where they are making it near on impossible to put dogs out. Injured or not the dogs either fight or mar they should be out. But it doesn't happen!

Agree regards Gav and the things that happen. How does a dog receive a gracillis injury requiring scratching from the time of kenneling to being removed from the kennel to race? Someone has to be accountable? Vet? Trainer?
