  1. Olgiata was her second dam. La Mer was out of her daughter La Balsa.
  2. Maybe he understands Swahili better than English?
  3. I was probably there for both of those. Memory failing!
  4. Don't remember the Washdyke wonder winning at Levin though he may well have but the Copper Belt clashes remain legendary in my mind
  5. The trainer was the mighty Syd Brown out of Woodville. Is that track on the close list?
  6. Third time lucky! It was Family of Man. 1981 Belmura Lad Kingston Town No Peer 2:02.0 1980 Belmura Lad Family of Man Lady Capri 2:03.8 1979 Dulcify Shivaree Minuetto 2:00.9 1978 Family of Man La Mer Kankama 2:04.0
  7. Second thoughts, might have been Belmura Lad?
  8. Haha... Levin was one of my favourite tracks. Skipped a lot of uni classes to go racing there!
  9. Didn't she run second in the McKinnon on that Oz trip. Can't remember what beat her. Dulcify?
  10. Back when these races used to be mostly run genuinely and we produced top stayers and middle distance horses eh?
  11. Do you mean Pauline or La Mer was special? Might have been more like 77.
  12. An all time favourite of mine. Always wanted one like her!
  13. Won't get there this year. Next I hope. Of your 3, I particularly like Best Solution for now.
  14. In case you missed it.
  15. true....it only becomes unsafe when a couple nearly or do fall over. It is always safe prior to that.
  16. Yes, that's another thing that needs to be sorted in order to have an attractive wagering product and grow revenue.
  17. nahhh I wont tell if you don't
  18. I make it 18/1 now 81/1 NZ TAB. My first bet in NZ this year!
  19. It's probably a good idea to give up on helping him get through kindy.
  20. How the hell can the TAB and NZTR have entirely different times posted for this race?
  21. oh that's on the NZTR site .... TAB says Winners Time: 48.38 Anyone's guess .... they are trying to attract punters.
  22. 46.25 it says
  23. It seems they are having the reverse effect and he's gone from primary remedial classes back to kindy level if he now can not distinguish between fitness and performance measures.
  24. Interesting they've gone with a PoC tax alone, with a 70/30 split to govt/racing. I wonder if that and a similar 50 year TAB lease would work here with the TAB sale providing the infrastructure funding? They've obviously done some homework on this but there was no mention of that in JM's report when you'd think it could have or should have informed it wouldn't you?
