  1. Her grandson, Keysborough, at the trials on Tuesday. https://mediarnsws.skyracing.com.au/Race_Replay/2024/08/20240820ROSR06T_V.mp4?hdnts=exp=1724182667~acl=/*~hmac=f5c8ffeafc655df7f77224afc374a4fc42c66a9c5b52c49e4a7a1cfbc0b3839d
  2. Is there a programming issue here? Two 50k open races at Riccarton with 6 noms each (and they are actually R80s), and two one win jumping races at Hawera on Sunday which were overflowing and had to both be split.
  3. Yeahh, I saw a few work out of the Rangiora barn the other day. Looked in great nick to me.
  4. Are you saying that might be a competence issue rather than a track bias?
  5. Why do you like them as betting races? I don't see much value in either
  6. Yet even a generation prior, paddocks were ploughed up every 4 or 5 years, fallowed, a cover or rotation crop sown, ploughed back in and then the pasture resown.
  7. Grab a beer or something to eat
  8. I almost never bet oncourse anyway so, wouldn't bother me from that standpoint. Bets are long on before I get there.
  9. Can anyone explain why the races there have a stake of only 15300 and the two 3yos 37600?
  10. Yep, because they have birdcage times etc in them and I don't carry a phone when working around horses.
  11. The online calendar is updated and the RPG.
  12. Thanks. Sorry, I missed that meeting. Not in the programme book. It's hard to keep up with the date and programme changes. Question still applies though I think.
  13. Agree. Warm winter covers, a pile of hay, mature wind shelter, 3 squares. Luxury compared to the majority of horses.
  14. I don't think anyone is co-ordinating much anywhere. Huey's point is valid though. There may be up and comer jumpers trialling in preparation for next season but given the uncertainties about that, I doubt there are many.
  15. Except that probably well over half the horses that might want jump trials are in the CD.
  16. But where were they when we needed them?
  17. Jump trials are not on the synthetic there.
  18. With 2 weeks of the season remaining?
  19. Not yet lol. Don't think it would be much use here.
  20. No idea how that makes it warmer. Sand at Woodend and Foxton always looked fine to me.
  21. Meeting News Taranaki Meeting Coming Forward/Rotorua Update After looking at forecasts, and discussing with the clubs and RIB, below are updates relating to the Taranaki and Rotorua Meetings on Saturday and Sunday respectively. These have been approved by Entain/TAB NZ. Taranaki - 17 August We note that the worst of the weather is currently forecast for mid-afternoon Saturday. To this end the meeting has been brought forward two races with Race 1 now scheduled for 11.20am and Race 8 at 3.15pm. NZTR believe this will give the meeting the best chance to take place uninterrupted. Rotorua – 18 August Despite rain predicted on Saturday/Sunday NZTR believes the best decision is to proceed with the meeting as it stands. If, after a track inspection on Sunday morning, this meeting cannot proceed then it will be postponed 24 hours until Monday.

  23. Yeahh, if as it looks probably needed maybe 50+mms more polytrack mix, remixing and maybe re-waxing. Hard to do that between races or on race morning.
  24. Foxton beach up there too.
  25. Warmer maybe but I wouldn't say better.
