I use the term members because that is the term used by Facebook and users when dealing with a closed (private) Facebook group like BGP.

TC why do you think the members are high school age? I can't see any evidence of that? Given you are not familiar with Facebook by your own admission I think your comment is coming from a lack of understanding of how the platform works. If you want to understand how a facebook page gains 8,500 members so quickly when compared to say a specialised industry forum, consider the fact that contestants on reality TV shows can gain 100k followers in one night. Welcome to 2018 and social media.

T C the group is closed so all members are 'authorised' by the admins, people could obviously lie about their age on their own facebook profile but you can't stop that. If you used facebook you would see that plenty of the posters are clearly longer in the tooth than your average high schooler. Though i expect a few would take your claim as a compliment!

If you removed the preference to support our local industry why would anyone use the NZ TAB? The service, odds, underlying technology and content provided exceeds our own TAB. This should scare everyone because the next generation of punters won't have any emotional ties, just go ask your local shoe retailer if 20 somethings care more about locally sourced or getting a good deal online delivered to their door..
