  1. Curious, Thank you for your postings. They are both informative and appreciated. All the best. Ashoka
  2. Chief Stipe, "He won his first race over 1400m in 1:21 and change and seemed to do it on his ear." Presumably, this was on a firm track. If it wasn't, then this conversation is no longer moot. I know...I am really setting myself up to get a good kicking in three week's time...and for no discernable reason. This is what horse racing does to me...and I wouldn't have it any other way. Cheers. 3. Reefton, What appears to be stupidity is, in fact, the naked face of corruption. You and "Curious" are on the same side, fighting the good fight against seemingly insurmountable odds. The song "High Hopes" is one of my all-time favourites. I have always, still do and always will...back the ram. "Whoops! There goes a billion kilowatt dam". Long may you run. Ashoka
  4. Reefton, My comment was sarcastic in that I was pointing out your hypocrisy over your own perceived interests and the interests of others. Stirring, if you can call it that, is not the only characteristic that the Molloy's share, evidently. Regards. Ashoka
  5. mumbles, I am guessing that the current government is trying to ascertain why Guy did nothing before deciding on a course of action. As you say it is O'Connor who is in charge, then this may take some time as the adage "it takes one to know one" doesn't apply when talking about the mentally challenged. All the best. Ashoka
  6. Reefton, Clearly what you and your Club did was based on blatant self-interest. Why did you not do what you have suggested that Foxton do...just roll over and die? All the best. Ashoka
  7. mumbles, Why did Nathan Guy not do this when the disease was first discovered? Why did Nathan Guy not do anything about the criminal blackmarket within the farming industry that saw the rules and regulations regarding the transport and transference of animals ignored en masse? Why are you blaming a government that has been in power for about five minutes, in real terms? Blame needs to be assigned to where it truly lies, so that the right steps can be taken to both mitigate the current situation and to do our best to ensure that we don't have a repeat. Making sure that Nathan Guy and anybody associated with this ignorant buffoon have nothing to do with anything of material substance to our nation is a prerequisite to both remedying our current problems and planning for the future. Regards. Ashoka
  8. Chief Stipe, I think that it is entirely possible. I stand by my opinion that Mike Smith did not fully extend Justify in winning the Preakness Stakes. I ask that anyone who thinks that I am incorrect on this matter, to have a look at the photograph of the finish and to note the jockey's body position, particularly the positioning of his hands, as they cross the line. Doubters...you have your instructions. I anticipate an evisceration (mine). Cheers. Ashoka
  9. Why has Nathan Guy not been charged with malfeasance in regard to the handling of this matter? How many acts of malfeasance have to occur before this shameless, incompetent serial fraudster is held to account for his actions? God help us (please). Ashoka
  10. Rowley Mile and Chief Stipe, Thank you for your comments. They are much appreciated. All the best. Ashoka
  11. Reefton, It is my opinion that the people involved with the Foxton Racing Club are preparing themselves for the days when our industry is not run by incompetent, self-serving individuals who make decisions based on the agendas of their fellow "in crowd" fraudsters but, instead, is run by competent individuals who are held accountable for their actions. When this happens, the good people of Foxton know that their track will be used as the beneficial asset that it is and not wasted as it currently is. If those days never come, who cares what they spend their money on as all money spent on the racing industry will have been wasted because there won't be one. Cheers. Ashoka
  12. Rowley Mile and Chief Stipe, Am I right in thinking that Mike Smith still had a handful of horse as they went to the line? I could not see how hard Justify was ridden in seeing off Good Magic, but my immediate thoughts on seeing the final metres was that the jockey had "protected" his horse at the finish. Has the previous race record of this horse shown that he can "settle" in the running or does he always run as a seeming "adrenaline junkie"? I would appreciate your opinions on my comments. Thank you. Ashoka
  13. Happy Sunrise... Your name is clearly a misnomer. Please report yourself to the Commerce Commission. That is all. Ashoka
