He's back...and I for one am glad to see hi m holding the feds to account [ or trying to ] Interminable threads about the Princess, well, no......
  3. Of course it is arse backwards....whether that was the actual intention or whether it just kinda happened would be anyone's guess.
  4. Yes...but, like Brian, I have a real concern about the governance of NZTR. The RB, I feel, will be the main thrust of any reforms and our code heads show no signs of pulling their heads in.
  5. You have no idea what transpired so I suggest you save your judgement about me to someone who gives a shit.
  6. So have I...didn't send me into a decline either, but I don't know why you lot give him the attention he craves.
  7. Hilarious....as nothing untoward happened to the horses...but could have been horrendous. Would have been worthy of Rowan Atkinson....
  8. Good....sure beats reading about the boss of HQ.
  9. Good to have your input, Laurie...I await the response with much interest.
  10. Oi....Fred....not me...
  11. Hope you are right.
  12. I'm still gobsmacked that this could happen in our country. We are outraged when arseholes throw kittens out of car windows, leave dogs tied up to die in deserted back yards, put cats in sacks with rocks and toss them in the river....ffs unbelievable.....and yes, whoever owned the bichon - if that is what it was - is as culpable and deserves as much vilification [ unless it was stolen ]. Sadly, this outfit isn't the only one to follow such practices, I'm pretty sure local trainers will know just which yards do so...but proving it isn't so easy and again, the RIU don't show any pro-activity at all.
  13. Well I found the whole exchange childish in the extreme....and for what it's worth ( she says, donning her ' nana' garb ) demeans this site giving it any traction at all.
  14. Personally I thought it was tragic....
  15. Y'all may remember that I wished him luck after he posted from the airport ...?

He's probably sitting watching to prove a point...namely, how much 'traffic' the site gets without him.
  19. Ok....then Hokitika [ for example ] cannot now race at their own track, but have been directed to race at Greymouth. Does the asset seizure still apply while the club itself is still viable?
  20. Can't answer that, and hard to compare on different tracks...but agree re. status. In Japan, and Europe, 2 year olds have the opportunity to compete over 1800. - and further I think.
  21. I disagree. It is a race, after all. Point taken about the babies being, well, babies...but if the mile wasn't suitable, or too tough, why enter? The fact of being the 'first time over 1600 ' means that there is all the more likelihood of someone going out pretty smartly I should have thought. A worthy winnner, regardless, IMO.
  22. Been happening for years, guys....I had a Guineas runner brought down and hurt by the abrupt easing of the pace from the leader. Nothing was done then either despite such tactics being 'against the rules' . Until the feds start stamping on the practice, it will carry on...and the few - very few - riders who can judge speed will win more than their share of races. The U.K practice of 'pacemakers' is not such a bad option IMO.
  23. Oh I dont know....I quite like parrots.
  24. Yeah right. You are lucky you got someone to answer the phone though - albeit a 'team leader' ....I haven't been very fortunate in that respect. Good luck in H.K...make the most of things and have a great time.
  25. I'm getting the feeling from this, that the members of MAC and also those Cabinet personnel, didn't bother to check the figures that were given to them by NZRB, but just accepted them. That I find disappointing, given the [ supposed ] quality of the people concerned. I hope that Treasury - and the DIA - apply more diligent scrutiny.
