Before Christmas he declared that this all-action get-things-done government would be getting everyone back in Parliament by – well, about now.

Your point?  The Government has still been working.  Hell they dealt to that silly trainset idea!  Cost over $230m and not one piece of track laid!  Here's hoping that the commercial building market picks up and this Government can make a profit on the buildings the previous one purchased.

I'd have thought you'd be keen that the Parliament didn't get back early - less pressure on your public service job.

Luxon needs to knock this on the head.

'Documents released under the Official Information Act show Ardern declined any remuneration for her work as special envoy, but associated costs for “actual and reasonable expenses” were estimated to sit between $450,000 and $500,000 per year, pro-rated over the term of the appointment.'

Luxon confirms NZ's reputation as American lap dog by committing military personelle to Yemen conflict.

Very good...as the world tires of U.S hegemony and looks for alternatives to the dollar,NZ signals ...business as usual. Will not end..well.

Meanwhile all the treaty's involving the USA are getting bigger and stronger.

However how will whatever it is not end well?

But that isn't what you posted.

This is what you posted of very little substance:

French spelling was a nice touch.  NZ is sending 6 that's one more than FIVE personnel to assist.  How will that not end well?  They'll learn a lot and beats them playing war games on a simulator.  The threat to merchant shipping is real and affects all of us.  Are you suggesting we shirk our responsibility?

We have no responsibility in that region.

NZ is not being defended.

And btw....list of treaties you are referring to...thx.

We are helping to defend the high seas.  Obviously maritime law is not one your specialist subjects either.

NATO for one.  So the world isn't tiring of the USA is it?

You said ALL their treaties are getting bigger and stronger. That's not correct.

Maritime law is not my specialty. What are the legal precedents that are germane to this conflict.Thx.

As usual you expect me to make your case for you,as you are an impotent debater.

Also as usual you ignore specifics ,that you find  'too hard'when  requested for detail on your premise.

I'm not doing YOUR homework for you.  I gave you one example.  You have said something vague so the burden of proof is in your court.  Or do you need more time to Google?

Who cares.  Great to see NZ participating again in international security.

100% ....as our world lurches closer and closer to a diabolical situation none of us want we can't afford to be left out in the cold with no mates. It's all well and good wanting us to all have peace and live happily ever after but ultimately, we may not have a lot of say in what unfolds. Being friendless in an important strategic area could become our biggest weakness.

Remember the words in our anthem.

"Peace, not war, shall be our boast,
But, should foes assail our coast,
Make us then a mighty host,
God defend our free land.
Lord of battles in Thy might,
Put our enemies to flight,
Let our cause be just and right,
God defend New Zealand."

"May our mountains ever be
Freedom's ramparts on the sea,
Make us faithful unto Thee,
God defend our free land.
Guide her in the nations' van,
Preaching love and truth to man,
Working out Thy glorious plan,
God defend New Zealand."
