Did the Stewards walk the track for safety prior to racing? Or do they assume that because it is a synthetic surface they don't need to? Mainly to check the grooming has the surface fully mixed and hasn't dragged it off the substrate in places as it appears to have here. Can we find out? Chief Stipe Posted August 15 Share Posted August 15 My biggest concern about the AWT tracks has been maintenance. Weekly but more importantly daily and between races. Yeahh, if as it looks probably needed maybe 50+mms more polytrack mix, remixing and maybe re-waxing. Hard to do that between races or on race morning.
