I see Chief posted the Pacers Slot holders , so here are the 3 year old trotter Slot holders for SHOW day.

If I was any of these slot holders , I would fly to Melbourne Saturday and pay the flights for KEAYANG ZAHARA complete with travel boots , blankets and anything else , as she is one of the best 3 year old trotters ever seen, and Will WIN if she lines up. (she is $1.10 fav this week won all 6 starts and trotting 1.57 MR already. She is quite special . Look at that trotting action in photo where she Won the Vic Sires stakes recently. Tremendous.

Well there goes the First Slot Horse. will be snapped up for sure.

FATHER TIME for Kevin Townley and driver Tim Williams , has donkey licked them in the 2nd race tonight at Addington by lengths. has 3 wins on the bounce and going well.

Anyone wanting to see the BEST 2 Aussie 3 year-old trotters Who both likely to get a Slot, would have to stay up late to see the last 2 races at Melton on Saturday night when they are in 2 $50k Finals.

(actually it would be after midnight your time so just put the replays on off the AHR website Sunday morning might be best lol.  )

KEAYANG ZAHARA is at $1.03 against the Fillies and DEREK THE JET at $1.10 against the boys. Both undefeated thus far. and going gangbusters.

Hasn't KEAYANG ZAHARA already got a slot with Breckon racing?

yep . you're on the money ok. Just found this article about their association with Ken Breckon and Richard Cole for their slot. Looks like they're on a Winner for the Inaugural 'Ascent'

The unbeaten three-time Group 1-winning filly caught the eye of Ken Breckon (Breckon Farms) and Richard Cole (Managing Director of IRT), and will make her way to New Zealand later this month to represent the high-profile slot holder pairing.

“It’s great to team up with Ken Breckon and Richard Cole, they are great people who are big supporters of the industry. It’s very exciting to be in partnership with them,” Lee said.

The eye-catching squareqaiter has now had seven starts for seven victories, including dominant results in the NSW Trotters Oaks, NSW Trotters Derby and the Vicbred Super Series Final (3yo Trotting Fillies).

She will step out in the Need For Speed Princess Final at Melton this Saturday night and the Victorian Trotters Oaks on Saturday, October 12 before jetting to New Zealand for the half-a-million-dollar event.

“If all things go to plan, she will stay in New Zealand for the Trotters Oaks two weeks after,” Lee said.

I see the trainers father in law passed away during the week aged 89.

Game Ebony and Rufus Young Blood a couple of really decent ones for I R "Dick" Lee

Had the pleasure of chatting with him once 40 years ago Ranga.

At Alexandra Park when he stormed to Victory in the Trotters Interdominion Consolation. (photo)

He had a very nice mare in DOWNSOUTH CLARE .

Dick Lee passed away 30th Sept 2024 aged 89 years . RIP.

Fun Fact: Dick used the same Whip that Bruce Clarke used to drive Gammalite 🏆  to win the Pacers Grand Final and Graeme Lang used with Scotch Notch 🏆 in the Trotters Grand Final that she waltzed away with by 6 lengths (he might need of used the whip on her but Gammalite sure copped some 🤣😂  )  that sure was One lucky Whip !!!!

40 years later and KEAYANG ZAHARA about to do Aussie proud like Scotch Notch and Downsouth Clare did in NZ for the Aus trotting Fillies/ mares. ( La Cocaracha did well in Nz once too)

The Ascent favourite steps out today in the Victoria trotting Derby heats. KEAYANG ZAHARA.

Mick Guerin will be watching intently.😅 They get him over to Oz for our Victoria Cup TV night each year, as it is broadcast on national TV free to air. (which we get only twice per year) and he gives the expert analysis. put his foot in it a bit this time .

so on the big program last Saturday night , the Victoria Trotters Oaks was reduced to last race on the card, and the local presenters were completely Waxing Lyrical about the prospects of Keayang Zahara for the Oaks and for her career. (Looking like the Best trotter ever, etc) they were very excited and glowing about her. All of a sudden Guerin pips in with

"Seen it all before , good trotting filly as a 3 year old and they do nothing afterwards."

The team looked a little shocked at his lack of enthusiasm. (These type of shows seem to want to elevate every horse, trainer, and driver to superstar level with any amount of superlatives used throughout the night .good, great, best, excellent used a thousand times on the night to describe anything that moved)

so Mick Guerin continues "Yeah just 4 years ago PINK GALAHS was trotting to many victories as a 3 year old , including winning the Derby against the boys , and even a Group 1 Open class trot, but didn't fire much in the years after"   (n.b did win a Group 1 at Brisbane as a 4 yearold Mick)

and " 7-8 years ago DANCE CRAZE won all her 3 year old trotting filly races , and a narrow 2nd in the Victoria Derby (the plum 3 year old trot of Australia). But not really a great older trotter. "

Mick doing a great job as a kiwi Wet Blanket standard, 😂 with his straight face look down the camera. I think they wanted to blast him with the fire extinguisher then in the studio, as he certainly put a Dampener on the night. . I couldn't stop laughing to tell the truth.

He may be right and she (Keayang Zahara)  won't go on with it. But talk about Flatten the moment lol. She won the Oaks by 6 lengths after that so Mick not quite as negative after the race. Wasn't allowed to be I don't think 😂   luv ya work Mick. classic kiwi. 😋

Someone should tell him Dance Craze did go on and win the Great Southern Star at 25-1  one year, expertly 'catch' driven by Mark Purdon no less, in the richest race there is for trotters. so not too shabby. Mick a harsh judge. wonder what he thinks of Sunny's Sister?

Best of luck Keayang Zahara for Vic Derby  , and her Ascent quest and for kiwi's Breckon and Cole in their slot in a few weeks time.

She was a bit good. by 8 lengths or so . Hope you got to see her go.

The 9 NZ trotters were incredible too !!!!!!

They all finished virtually in a line across the track . All 9 of them . what a great sight !!!

and All 9 did their trainers / drivers and owners proud in a great effort by the young trotters. a true Credit to their great NZ trotting trainers.

KEAYANG ZAHARA is an Alien from another Galaxy though. Unreal . Does it without any effort is the thing.
