Murray Fish Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 some interesting stuff.. but Nothing serious like the Rip off take out rates! Quote
NZRacing Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Quote For current customers though they’ll be pleased to know that promotions that they’ve come to love like the ‘punters promise’ won’t be going anywhere. Throughout the course of the interview it was very clear that Dean Shannon very much empathises with the concerns of punters. He made it clear that the odds customers receive here will be the same that Entain offers to customers across the ditch. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2023/06/03/entain-australia-ceo-dean-shannon-paints-a-positive-picture-for-future/ I doubt the sports odds will be the same - not sure about racing odds will have to check that out. 1 Quote

What a great interview from both parties. Pity we don't see that quality of journalism on Trackside and elsewhere in the industry. 1 Quote

It's a bit like the what we need at the industry level. Quote

When we have the head honcho of NZTR saying he doesn't know anything about wagering and that it's Entain's problem, there's not much hope. Quote

Propaganda rules! Would there be a 'Industry' that is current more driven that Racing? One Big 'real world problem', that is never mentioned! is, for a scary amount of NZ'ers, the % of disposable income continues to shrink! be it via inflation, etc.... and then that ever problem within horse race betting that the House is encouraging betting into high take out, some interesting stuff now on that out of Au. lol! gee, Would be rather nice to have a decent track or two to be into! ps. I recon, soon, working on any track for any keen young 'track worker' (especially ones with Degrees) that having a job on a race track will be seen as a bit of a poison chalice! If you are keen for that sort of work, then like so many Racing Workers, its Over the Ditch! Quote
