Mark D
Imagine that sending the track manager down to inspect the track and he said it was fine! Just pathetic.
curious
He prepared the fucking thing. Of course he would say it is fine and they are too lazy to check before risking the health and safety of horses and riders. Another case of the crash test dummy approach.
nomates
Lucky that the horse didn't break a leg , another report on it's way into why this happened . I wonder if the new man had any input into the preparation of this track for raceday . One report that never seems to be undertaken is the one on NZTR performance . 2

They usually do now....the jockeys don't mind doing it Yesterday there appeared to be a very small piece of ground around the turn that had inconsistent footing...according to the Stipe

I realise a bit of growth is good if only to keep moisture in the soil, but the grass was up to the top of the jocks boots. Also would long grass contribute to slipping. Just the observations of a layman when it comes to prepping a TB track.
