Imported Racing Dogs

Has GRNZ ended the importation of racing dogs and/or pups from Australia?

Has new Govt legislation been passed banning importation?

I haven't seen any notice to suggest that either have done so.

GRNZ - If welfare unpins everything you do, then there's no excuse for allowing the importation of even more dogs at this point, compounding the rehoming problem.

It might even pay to export any Australian owned dogs back to their owners, greatly easing the upcoming rehoming nightmare. If they don't, they'll eventually be flying even more dogs to the USA for rehoming.

Last I heard, it was nearly impossible to get dogs into NZ anyway now. This was before the ban but AIR NZ completely stopped Greyhound transports and Qantas have continously changed its policies on transporting greyhounds.

You have just named the two most woke airlines in the world. The rainbow loving Qantas tried to cancel Israel Folau for quoting Bible scripture so no surprise there. Both airlines are famous for letting the latest politics and touchy fairly trends obscurer their judgment.
