Had a good first half of the season.  Is an owner disgruntled or something?  Or did you punt it @Newmarket?

Not my words, had nothing to do with it…. just posting as thought it was interesting, you go on about the success stories in f the stable, thought it best to even it out.

Really?  So a horse with $250k in the bank, 7 wins the latest being 5 starts ago you consider to be a failure?

Correction we're not sure what your opinion is because you've only posted someone else's.

My point is…. If you have a horse in the stable in a syndicate… you have no say with the nag.
It should be the syndicate telling trainers where the horse races…

Not just this stable, but other stables as well. Those that are paying huge bucks for their horse to be trained should make majority of decisions… stuff the trainers

Those involved reckon it should have won twice that

Assuming those named in the facebook snapshot are owners I'm not sure their training credentials are anywhere near those of Mark Walker and Sam Bergerson.   But they can reckon all they want.

What's your opinion based on the facts?  I've made it easy for you - here is a link to the horses performance:

Only been out of the money 5 times in 35 starts, looks pretty consistent to me.

1/4 million dollars in stakes looks a good kitty too.

Comments on this ocassion seem quite harsh to me.

Which owner do you listen to in a 25 owner syndicate?  In my experience there never is a consensus.  A big part of the deal that you sign up to when purchasing a small share in a syndicate is that you are paying for the professional knowledge and expertise of the trainer.  If you don't agree with their decisions then you always have the option of not buying another share.  A bit different if you own more than 50% of the horse.

Good luck with finding someone to meet that requirement.  I remember the Bart Cummings quote which paraphrased went like this when a potential owner asked what his daily training fee was - "my daily training fee is $75 but if you want to help it is $150".

Fellini was a first crop Belardo too I think.  Some thought they were wet trackers then they started winning on better tracks.  My point being that sometimes early crop horses take a bit to work out.  One of the advantages of a bigger stable is that they get a feel for a breed and adjust accordingly.  The fact is it is just as likely that the horse would have won nothing in a different stable rather than double what it has won.

Do the syndicate members have the right to pull out at any time?  If they aren't happy, take that action.

If the horse needs a stable change Te Akau may put it up on Gavelhouse like they do from time to time which would give syndicate members the chance to regroup.

Very few are put up for sale, last thing the stable would want is another trainer improving nags.
The ones on gavelhouse are way past used date…..

Did you stop to think that many wouldn't want to buy a horse that has been well tried by a large stable for the very reason it had been given every opportunity?

A few years back, a few of us raced a slow harness horse…. used to meet with trainer every month to discuss issues and state where horse went…. didn’t worry me that it never won a race, but being involved with the group over a few beers … priceless.

Rather than get an email sent out…. telling you what’s already been organised

Why not? Horses sometimes improve in a smaller environment.

Boy have I got a deal for you!!  Are the group still together?  I know just the horse(s) that you can plan a campaign for over a few beers!

That said did you think that "the group" didn't place the horse very well since it didn't win a race?  Just asking.

Might run up to their established ability again but rarely improve on that imo.

Especially if races with the optimal conditions for that horse are limited or few and far between.   The hardest part in my opinion is getting their attitude right and placing them!  The conditioning is the easy part.
