Ratings have nothing to do with weights for SW&P races. 7.5 Set Weight and Penalty and Set Weight 2YO and 3YO Races For all Non Group and Listed Set Weight and Penalty races, the weights will be 57.5kg for Colts and Geldings and 55.5kg for Fillies, with a 1kg penalty for winning two flat races, 2kg penalty three flat races and 3kg penalty for winning four or more flat races applied. Maidens are given a 1.5kg allowance. For all Non Group and Listed Set Weight races, the weights will be 57.5kg for Colts and Geldings and 55.5kg for Fillies The weights for all Set Weight mixed gender open Two-Year-Old and Three-Year-Old Group and Listed races will be 56.5kg for Colts and Geldings, and 54.5kg for Fillies

Surly the goal is for the best horse on the day to win!

I agree that there would be merit in making it set weights with no penalties.

Who knows how much that extra kg on #1 is going to count in the end! if ever a race is going to have the pace on then it is this race! more and more this is a Watch race! Unless something Jumps out at me! hence, I be way happy to bet into R3 and
