No longer the case! Personally, say back in 80's, the fields would come out and I would 'know' 99%. The more I 'knew' about the horses and that race the more likely I was/am going to wager! Also, 'we' had more time between races/bests to cognitively digest what had happen in the previous and then have a proper build up to the next! No longer now! Especially so one the 'better' races start to kick in over the ditch! More and more I has switched off more and more watching other races at more and more meetings, other wise I just suffer from mental fatigue and often don't have the processing power needed to lock in a bet! THE BAIN OF AGING! Everywhere we go today we have saturation of everything sportswise, racing, cricket rugby etc etc, and it diminishes the enthusiasm/interest after time, I have to admit I probably watch less trackside than ever now, same for rugby, you just get too much but the 7 day a week racing schedule must have a impact on our local racing, do we really need all the overseas stuff saturating the product? You wonder if Geo blocking is implemented could the Aussies decide to stop taking bets on our racing or even stop us betting on their racing? If they are denied it would mean overseas casinos that offer racing as well will cut into TAB customers. Having a one stop shop makes sense.
