Nowornever
I thought worst affected was the Present Maker and he stayed in fair enough he got some money. Forgiveness not really inconvenienced at all. Galloped on her own after beginning well. Whos Queen also begun well and did not affect her performance. Starter should have been fined for the dogs breakfast of a stand as usual. If it comes down to a call using someones opinion whether a horse gets late scratched then they should sack that person as he/her is hugely inconsistent. This is becoming ridiculous. Never used to be as many late scratching as there is these days. FFS it is a part of gambling. You take your chances in a race if you get bad luck so be it. All the exotic dividends dropped 30% because of the late scratchings. Turnover also pulled out of the pools when they need everything they can get. Ben hope got it wrong and started much wider than he should have and gave those outside him lilttle room to take up their positions. He accepted he was in the wrong and got a $400 fine. Have a look at the huge gap between the horse on u1 and the b hope horse that drew u2. And see how that lead to the congestion outside mr hope as a result. As I keep saying if this is what we are be treated to with standing starts, then they need to be got rid of and just have mobiles. Does HRNZ have confidence in its starters, if so they have very low standards indeed! Why on earth the starter let the tapes go when he did, is very hard to understand? Think they need to have major training sessions, as seriously it is NOT GREAT!! Ben Hope may have been found st fault and fined but I do not see it that way! He was not the one that ,et the tape go and said that it was a fair start by doing so? Yet the starter gets nothing, and the blame goes on Ben and the punters that win get LESS!!
