Thomass
Some favoured runners look as if they could miss out.... Platinum Invador one who was desperately unlucky after being checked by Bosson... Edited February 18, 2019 by Thomass
Kopia
I hope its a decent field....and I really really hope we don't get to hear.. ' they've gone out of the straight and 'they' have eased the pace up front, there's carnage at the back of the field, blah blah blah Isn't it way past time that Herr Oaothum actually did something constructive about riders intentionally stuffing races up? Theres a rule there so why don't they enforce it, or at least get all of the riders in major races to stand in a line before the race and give them marching orders if they don't give 100% as professionals in the upcoming race. With all of the shit going down in racing-all 3 codes-these so called Integruty people need to pull their socks up and make more effort to show racing is worth betting on? 1
Fred
Old stagers [like Thomas] will recall that Ellerslie addressed this problem by paying a substantial prize to the leader as they went past the post the first time. Only suitable for the 2400-3200 races of course.
Thomass
That rinnnnnnngs a distant bell... ...being slightly 'alzheimic'...very distant... what about inserting a 'stable' pace maker in for the Te Akow runners?

Worry not kopper Big field Derbys are almost always run at pace..either a bunny or an 'over racer' But they need to get the Jocks in the room before the race AND LAY DOWN THE LAW Theres far too much interference in these big races..with little consequence Opee got let off a shocking Careless riding charge on Saturday...wiping out the chances of Platinum Invador
Huey
Don't look like much will miss out there , looks about right that field.
Thomass
PLATINUM INVADOR is supposedly racing again this week in order to qualify This could have unintended consequences....a very fit horse...3 weeks in a row With Cyclone season around the corner...and a big fat Ofa first up Then another low front following...the Derby could well be rain affected... ...which requires a very fit neddy...just saying
pete
Minimal chance of wet track for Derby. Big anticyclone moving in after the weekend and should stick around.
