Mark D Posted July 12, 2019 Share Posted July 12, 2019 Seeing that Thomas's thread got hijacked I think it is appropriate to acknowledge the loss of Mark to the NZ industry. Has been equally brilliant at both gallops and harness racing. Of course you can have minor quibbles with him as you can with all commentators but much less with him. I wish him all the best. Same applies to Jason Teaz and I hope that his absence from commentating is short. However the one thing and probably the only thing that the NZ industry has going for it is the quality of young commentators/presenters coming through. Matt Cross is already established himself as top rank in a very short time and I have also been very impressed lately with Justin Evans in both roles.
