Chief Stipe Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 The difference in presentation, commentary and video quality between Trackside and ESPN is substantial. Pissing down but what a huge crowd! 157,813 in attendance! 1 Quote
Boxie Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Wow... a mile and a 1/4 (roughly 2000m) in 2:04 on a slushy track!!! Quote
hesi Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 Watched it on Trackside and then switched to ESPN, and the picture definition was light years better. What was that all about? Quote

hesi Posted May 6, 2018 Author Posted May 6, 2018 Has to win the Preakness and Belmont to be called great Some of the horses in opposition may have been inconvenienced by the slushy track at Churchill Downs. Quote
Boxie Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 (edited) I disagree. Any horse that can run the opening half mile of a mile and a quarter race in 45 seconds and then run away from the field on a sloppy track is something very special. So he that win proves he has speed and stamina. He monstered some of the same field in the Santa Anita Derby on a drier track. Won his first race over 1400m in 1:21! Edited May 6, 2018 by Boxie Quote
