Great win by this horse on Saturday at Hastings. Even more remarkable after the trainer said it had no show pre-race. Anyone hear his comments? Seemed to get forgotten about quick smart by the Trackside team.

It was very interesting alright.

It wasn’t like he just talked down the chances slightly either, it was a definite nope no chance they will go to fast.

If they fined Dummy Myers for what he said years ago then they should fine him this individual too, they won’t and probably shouldn’t, but it did make the trainer look rather stupid.

Has to be egg all over the face after the pre-comments that it had absolutely no chance of winning.

Compare the Altanta Peach pre-race comments with the Channel 7 presentation of the Ming Dynasty and the interview with Andrew Forsman and the comments from Radley and Dufficy.  Both before and after the race.  Another first up in OZ Baker special missed by the punters!

There are some hard markers in this thread. Have they ever raced horses?  

The guy gave an honest opinion and was wrong -it happens-most interviewed are busy talking up their chances and most of them are wrong.

He also wrote off the chances of his other runner Mohaka and it ran third!!!! Tell me how you can overlook that?! Hardly a mention anywhere post race which says a lot about the RIU's ability.

Atlanta Peach's form is alright on dead tracks and barring his last start which he had an excuse for on a heavy track, I thought it very strange to say he had no chance dismissing him  completely from going any good. He couldn't have won any easier really. Was there a post race interview with the trainer?
