Guest CrossCodes
Is it only me or do they seem to be both out of form at the moment? Marsh seems to have a hell of a lot of horses spread everywhere but the wins are few are far between, getting to big maybe? And Johnson is certainly not riding flash, last season and this season the wins are also very minimal. Not a fan of stables who just take any and every horse, you look at the form of some of the Marsh stable runners lately and it certainly isn’t the type of horse/form you come to expect from that stable. Weasel
D Johnson 3 7 5 $74,825 54 0 1 Stephen Marsh 5 6 7 $103,000 72 0 14.40 Youd have to say theyre going through a lean time, CC ..but Marsh is still 5th on the trainers' list and Johnson's strike rate is poor but she is going through that difficult period of re-establishing connections with owners/trainers who have had to use other jockeys in her absence (caused by serious injury). Matter of time and patience til it turns around ..amazing what a good couple of Premier days in the Spring/Summer could do. Look at the stats and you'll see they're both running in the money roughly 1 in every 4 starters; doesn't take much to turn that into great stats if the 2nds/3rds become 1sts! And its only mid-September!
Guest CrossCodes
Another disappointing day for the stable at both venues, seems its quantity over quality these days which never works, just look at the Rogerson stable to prove that point. Freda
Marsh seems to have a few promising types based down here, his foreman ably assisted by 'stablehand' Sam Wynne. I've watched his team with interest as they walk past the tie-ups, one attractive little chap which took my eye was the Tavistock gelding Charlie Awesome - had a modest wager on him yesterday and he went a tidy race.
