The Government should close down all Pokie outlets until the virus issue is over.  They are a non-essential serivice, they aggregate large numbers of at risk people, have high turnover of people pressing the same buttons and the rooms have little "social distancing".

The Casinos have done it.

Plus closing them down might direct the benefit increases to be spent on better choices.  Food or the TAB?

I was being somewhat facetious but it makes sense.  If I was a pub owner that had them I'd being doing it.

Yep. They should reduce code distributions at a guess to about 30% of current levels. Close the RIU and JCA immediately. Go back to club committee stewards voluntarily performing the integrity functions and provide training and support for that.

yes, and give clubs the money they earn on their meetings so they can set their own stakes levels -and sink or swim because of their own efforts
