Noodlum
Well done Curious. I see Foxton is on the list. I guess Levin is now screwed though.
curious
I don't see why they couldn't/shouldn't run jumpouts May/June anyway. That can only help more horses be ready for the July resumption.
curious
From the LEVIN TRACK TRUST (LEVIN TRACK OPERATING CHARITABLE TRUST) MANDATORY CONDITIONS FOR RESUMPTION OF TRACK OPERATIONS We have been asked to resume Jump Outs within the next three weeks as there are trainers who had dispensation to keep their horses ticking over on their home tracks plus the jumping season is upon us and the jumping trainers are looking to run their horses in the Jumper’s Flat heats at our Jump outs. The protocol regarding who is and who is not allowed to attend the Jump outs is exactly the same as for daily track work. Once again, the Health and Safety Officer will have Health Screening Questionnaires completed by all trainers, riders, their assistants and Starting Gate personnel attending the jump outs. We ask you to please bear with us during this time and trust that in the not too distant future that racing can return to some form of normality. Obviously safer to work on your "home" track than the "public" track next door.

Horses could be kept in light work where that could be done on the property with only people resident on the property doing the work. So where there were private tracks, treadmills lundeing facilities etc. and suitable staff in the bubble on the property. Just shows you don't need to do much to keep them fit enough to be a couple of weeks away from a jump out! Take note Huey.

Take note Huey. No s**t! If they are kept ticking over you can do all sorts of things with them, not if they are pulled out of a paddock unworked and heading to the races in 8 weeks. If you've had them ticking over they are still in work, is that that hard to understand?
