Chief Stipe
Oh it's the season to be jolly.....silly season. Here we have two people that have probably spoken to CWJ recently and are saying Thom-ass is wrong. Then we have Thom-ass who is writing fiction and quoting a journalist. Although calling Guerin a journalist is probably a stretch.

Thomass
OMG, when this bloke goes off the rails he doesn't take the small gauge Charged a couple of weeks ago with threatening Ellis then threatening to kill Butch Castles.... It just reinforces the point in the post... NEVER give a 'Serious Racing Offence' offender a second chance... Just as RIU's Oatham gave the serious racing offender from Sth Africa another go "we're sure he won't abuse his second chance" Then planned to maim Tina C after their 'relationship ended Leopolds spots... Can you post a source please - I realise there is always a minute piece of truth in your fictional interpretation of events. However you should substantiate this allegation with some proof. New Zealand: top jockey Jason Waddell charged with threatening to kill racing chief HRPonDecember 21, 2020/Comments closed Share this: Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email More Jason Waddell: facing criminal charges for making threats against leading NZ racing figures By Jon Lees New Zealand: One of New Zealand’s top jockeys is facing serious criminal charges after appearing in court on allegations he made threats, including one to kill, against two of the country’s leading racing figures. Multiple G1-winning rider Jason Waddell, 34, did not enter a plea to charges that he posted a digital communication with intent to cause harm to Te Akau Racing boss David Ellis and made a threat to kill Waikato Racing Club chief executive Andrew Castles. Waddell was bailed to reappear at Hamilton District Court in the New Year. Waddell has ridden more than 700 winners and enjoyed a highly successful start to 2020 when he rode three G1 winners, including success in the New Zealand Oaks on Jennifer Eccles. He was set to partner the filly in a G1 on her seasonal comeback at Hastings in September but was stood down after being unable to provide a urine sample for a drug test. He has not ridden since. The jockey has had a chequered career. He was given a 14-month ban in 2010 when he tested positive for methamphetamine and was handed a 12-month sentence in 2015 after he was found guilty of causing deliberate interference to a horse ridden by Samantha Collett, which it was alleged could have put her in a wheelchair. Photo / Belinda Feek By: Belinda Feek NZ Herald reporter based in Hamilton One of the country's top, yet embattled, jockeys has been charged after two separate incidents, including the alleged posting of a harmful digital communication. Jason Waddell, 34, made a brief appearance in the Hamilton District Court this morning, when he was remanded without plea on charges of posting a digital communication with intent to cause harm to high-profile Te Akau racing stable owner David Ellis and threatening to kill another racing boss. The first alleged incident occurred at Te Akau on December 8 and comes under the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015. The charge has a maximum penalty of two years' jail or a $50,000 fine. The second charge stems from an incident in Hamilton on December 10, when Waddell is alleged to have threatened to kill Waikato Racing Club chief executive Andrew "Butch" Castles. The charge carries a maximum penalty of seven years' prison. Jason Waddell riding Julius to victory at Ellerslie on January 1 this year. Photo / Trish Dunell Waddle is one of the country's best jockeys but as recently as last month admitted that his career was over after failing to supply a urine sample for a drug test at a recent Te Rapa trial meeting. The talented rider told the Herald at the time he was retiring from the saddle regardless of the outcome, and reiterated that message to the Herald outside court today. When asked about the digital charge, Waddle said he couldn't comment as it might jeopardise his case. As for the second charge involving Castles, he said he was misheard over the phone and never said anything threatening. Waddle was remanded on bail with conditions - including not to use social media, drink alcohol or do drugs - to reappear next month.

Chief Stipe
That's it this Topic is closed. Thom-arse once again you take things to a new low level. No point in fictionalising or sensationalising something that is before the courts. The reality is that due to the scourge of P and other drugs that is burning through our society the industry has lost a very talented horseman. Sure he has made some wrong life choices but there is nothing to be gained by putting the boot in. In my opinion it doesn't help that we have an industry where it is getting harder and harder to make a living in through continuing mismanagement.
