I'm lost !!!

Usually before an OZ country meeting i like to take a trip around the town using my keyboard and google maps. Certainly didn't realize Kangaroo Island was that big. Been "driving" for hours and can't find the racecourse. Anyone been to K.Island races? Maybe a tip might help as well.

I know where Kangaroo Island is but do they have races there?

I thought K island had been devastated by fire?

However I resonate with your approach to looking up on Google the location of an obscure race meeting.  I see it as part of my life long education.  It always amazing me how many race tracks there are in OZ.  In NZ we just want to close them down instead of keeping them going.

And they're racing for over 18k a race .

Look if you want to just drive and see the sites its far better "driving" google.

In fact because of the aerial view as well the scenery gets far better implanted in your brain than physically being there. Any way if you are the car driver you have concentrate on the road not the sites.

Its seems a long way from the ferry to Kingscote where the track is but then thats only one fifth of the length of the island. Always thought Kangaroo Island was a few acres with a racetrack carved with kangaroos running around it. Seems an excellent getaway for people from Adelaide.

I didn't quite do the google drive around  but certainly learnt a lot about the island on looking it up. Looks like a cool carnival to go to, might put it on the bucket list behind the 'bool'.  How great are these random carnivals in remote places, same here with the Coast circuit, Gisborne and Wairoa meetings and the two days at Blenheim.
