Gammalite
Ex-pat kiwi should be at the Olympics for producing wonderful winning performances all this year. At it again today, on a quiet Tuesday, with Spirit Of Anzac (moderate Cambridge horse with Mike Berger until recently) Spirit out of the gate in 25.7 first quarter !! holy gaucamole, !! with the rocket fuel burning bright and home in 26.5 for a 1.51.8 mile first up in 8 weeks, first start in Aus. stunning improvement, Backed off the map too on all the totes lol........ This Trainor lad is the Usain Bolt of the trots !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At Albion NURBURGRING (a better NZ performer) might be worth a look in the last race at 10-1 ,as easier race that he has seen for a while. might be too classy.

That whole thing, was just 2 weeks not 1 month think you posted. Read an article about it - Wonder what the result were like during the 2 weeks that they were in that barn thing. Better, usual or worse than usual? Just asking a question. A horse called Madiba noted had been performing high (past tense), when it was just low class Mana horse ...). Now folks don't get alarmed, not saying anyone is cheating, just asking a question, what was the results when they were in that barn. Better, worse or the same? Yes saw they had 1 win, saw an article about it, that does nothing for me, Id be looking at overall team performance. Up or not or the same? Logging out now, will check back in a week 😁 Unless have some news to share 😁

Great carnival in Brisbane for the harness racing seeing Amazing Dream winning a couple of big plums last month. Bad news with shitty covid , as brisbane locked down for a week , no crowds at Olympics is shitty too, for the locals there. Bad news with Nurburgring bet just now lol. The idiot was one-one and pulled out to deathseat at the mile ???> moron he was, would of won from the one-one sit. Got no idea why he did that. must of thought he was driving Gammalite lol...... and would still win.

No , nothing found that has been reported anyway. results have been good all year. so they (stewards) used the retention barn to house the horses of Grimson and Trainor to see if performance dropped off, while they were 'under surveillance' , but it didn't. Always had the ability but dogged with bad draws here and questionable driver tactics in a lot of its races. I thought it could run close to 1:50 in aus and will do that when it is fully fit.

SPIRIT of ANZAC running the 1.51.8 was a fab first up run for sure yesterday. Old kiwi FFAer, CASH n FLOW rattled off 10 wins in a row last Winter-Spring in 1.49-1.50. This season (year) he only has 3 wins from 9 starts as a bit more worn out, and can only get 1.51.2- 1.51.4 mile as best now. Still got the chocolates 2 weeks ago , and paid $20 the win !! fabulous kiwi 'trier' and hope your boy 'SPIRIT' can take up the challenge you set him, and follow in Cash's footprints as a FreeForAller. .....
Brodie
There are heaps of horses in NZ that could run 1.50 formthe mike at Menangle but will not get the chance! That mare of Jason and Megan Teaz went sub 1.50 over there and was one of the quickest horses to have raced over there! It grew a other leg when it went there, obviously the big track and awful mile racing suited it! The Teaz’s probably do not have the elite type horses to train But do a good job and yet a horse can go so much quicker over in Oz! There are non winners in NZ that could go very quick miles on that track so thank god we dont have many mile races! I do note that stupid Auckland club have got all mile races at Alexandra Park tomorrow night, and there will be mug punters that wager on them! Thank goodness Addington mile point is where it is! 'Arms of an Angel ' (If that's the Teaz horse) had 10 wins from 14 starts was in 2016 , running 3rd in the miracle mile to Natalie in 1.48. , Likewise 'Alta Orlando ' of Dunn's , a terrific horse has a miracle mile third placing as well, in 1.48, and he did get a GROUP 1 win in 1.50 a year ago. But mostly in his other 25 starts past year, no where near running 1.50. It's a very hard mark to achieve. In recent times NZ FFAer Star Galleria arrived at McCarthy's, and only can get out a 1.51.5 mile (2 wins in 8 cracks at Menangle) And Spellbound did it !! she had a group 3 win at Menangle recently in 1.50.1 , so she is incredible. (Beaten a nose in a group 1 at Brisbane her last start in 1.52 odd ) so yes , there is one that fits the bill. I guess some of those Jewels winners like BD JOE and South Coast Arden and Akuta, would go real close to a 1.50, so maybe you're right afterall lol.......

Yes it was something Like Arms of An Angel that went quick, and you have to take into account that she was not overly flash in NZ and was not that promising when sold. You have to remember that a helluva lot of the horses that you get are past their best in NZ so yes there would be a lot of NZ horses that would go 1.50 at Menangle as a lot would go very fast miles and not suited to longer distances here! Yes Spellbound has done a great job over their and sprinting really suits her. NZ horses are better bred and are far better than the average Oz bred horses!

The mare Arms Of An Angel did fly when the Trittons took her over.. They were at their "peak" at that time. She was best suited to mile racing where she could lead and keep running. Here when she did get a mile she kept drawing one on the second row and she ran many meritorious races over 2200m setting up fast mile rates. But for that bad luck and better draws in short course races her NZ record would have been much better. It was proven how she wasn't any good over a longer trip than 2200 in Australia..yet she won over 2100 on a grass track here.We sold her for what many deemed to be overs but I advised the purchaser when he brought her she would run 1:50 at Menangle..she ran 1:48..so maybe i was wrong... It proves how NZ racing doesn't suit many but I muat say we have had much better horses than her thar juat havent had the wraps and continual publicity she recieved. We have others much better than her now too and coming through, so i suggest people should come and buy them as you know we always leqve something in ours for the next man. There are heaps of NZ horses that can run a very quick mile in Oz but not so flash here. Wasnt knocking your training ability at all just pointing out that miles suit certain horses. Fact remains mile racing is boring. Shame you arent commenting in Nz!

There are plenty of social media posts that list the horses that are pre-race swabbed at Menangle And swabbing $50 outsiders seems to be the modus operandi
Karrotsisback
Speaking of commentators know we all have our favourites & our likes & dislikes. For me, how good is the Albion Park commentator. So much flair. Noticed his hip calls when recently watching Kiwis Rising Sun etc. Taking a peak at 2 replays Sat nite to get some examples “Spicy sectionals down the back” “Its all over red rover” “He’s running time, Crunch time” “Upside down sectionals going down the back” “He’s starting to loom - danger” “Colt 31 plays the Game of follow the Leader” “He catches the cover of Uncle George” “They are back-straight bound” “As they push towards that far turn” “Alta Oralando nailed Colt 31” Re Teaz prob should of said informative to be more clear. Goes thru horses siblings etc the good performing ones or if dam was a good performer &/or sire. All of which I find interesting. Sometimes who owns it/trains/drivers etc. Even sometimes mentions where a horse was brought from or maybe an interesting fact about it. Find this more entertaining when watching workout/trial videos than, This horse is in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th position & rinse/repeat etc.

From.my point of view calling the trials can be pretty tedious so I find including the breeding and any other bits I can think of helps fill in the gaps as well as offering times as they go. Each to their own of course. As trials seem to be all i'm good for now its good to be remembered.

You are a very good commentator and were also good at tipping out longshots at Forbury as you clearly did your homework. Rather than just tipping out the shorties with the form that went well on a grass track! Maybe you could start a tipping line as well as training as the commentating jobs seem to be a closed shop at the moment!

Not sure what you mean by towing the line as far as commentsting goes in your case but yes you have to do what you are told in the media nowadays!! The Labour Government has put millions into the media it so that all employees have to do and say what the government wants and lick their butt! It is just pathetic how media presenters continue to push the Covid19 vaccine message continuously, even though they have absolutely no medical qualifications whatsoever!! This Covid BS is going to go for years even though it is no worse than the normal yearly flu. The vaccine is not the answer and in fact is more likely to make you crook, WATCH THIS SPACE! There was one death yesterday in Sydney a lady in her 90’s! No shit Sherlock, how surprising??

Well that is a shame, thought you may have been considered for Mana. Earlier in year, posted on here twice about the same, same, commentating Auckland, Camb & Mana. (While I do like White commentary - to be clear on that), however for me, it was too much of same-same for all 3. So used my voice here to say so. Then when a replacement come for Mana, it wasn’t your voice, which actually I had hoped. Never mind. You win some you lose some. Good luck with your training ranks & keep the winning Raceform tips coming.
