Joe Bloggs Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 The trainer of the magnificent Temora Tornado, Paleface Adios, Colin Pike has died. Colin was a champion bloke who had a champion, winner of 108 races. I'm proud to say Colin allowed me to drive Paleface back to the stables one morning after he worked at Picken oval in Croydon Park, I had just ridden one of our hard pulling Gallopers on the track and had gone back to watch him work. Colin was one of the nicest men you'd ever hope to meet, he treated all his horses with absolute kindness, he lived to 90 so he carried those memories of Paleface for years. RIP Colin, the golden quinella now reunited. 5 3 Quote
Gammalite Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Colin and Paleface immortalised in Temora NSW . A park, a statue and a book in tribute to the the Champ. Not sure that WINX has that much legacy? 3 2 Quote
