When I did the calcs on another thread if u put 50mm on around an entire 1800m track, 12-18m out, that is 540 cubic meters or 800 tonne So about 50 truckloads

If this is true, it makes you wonder. Seems all nz gallops tracks are hit and miss, everyone does what they like. 

On a positive, watched a couple of races from Oamaru yesterday, looked ok compared to some tracks recently.

Great question - either answer is damning - but if it wasn't a mistake - well do we have some serious base issues - incredible that this plays our a week before The Report - you have to wonder at the timing - or do you?
