Ludwig
I keep hearing about gimmicks to try and attract people back to Cambridge and Alex Park. Yet the one proven successful "gimmick" that drew in the public, owners, trainers and horse numbers was grass track racing. So here's a good idea_lets get rid of it. I still don't get it. Shall we focus on headline acts for the Race? Or focus on what has worked successfully in getting public numbers and horse numbers up?

The heads that make the decisions are oblivious to what actually works and also to what people want.

Doomed
I think there would be just too much embarrassment if they get a bigger crowd for a grass track meeting at Te Aroha with a $15,000 feature than at Cambridge with a $1m feature. It just doesn't fit with all the theories.
